A seasoned HR professional, who has led HR for companies such as Indigo, Amazon and GE, Raj Raghavan has now joined CoreStack, the next-gen cloud business accelerator company, as CHRO.

Raghavan will inspire the Company’s rapidly-growing global talent force. He will develop strategies to attract talent and maintain the Company’s culture based on its values, at a global scale.

Ezhilarasan (Ez) Natarajan, founder & CEO, CoreStack, says, “Raghavan was the natural choice to inspire and lead the most valuable element of CoreStack, our people. He has dedicated his career to serving the talent of high-achieving, global companies. We see his future at CoreStack as an extension of this rare skill.”

Raghavan who has “come to respect CoreStack’s phenomenal team and talented employees obsessed with creating a top-notch technology company,”  is looking forward “to contributing and supporting CoreStack as a preferred workplace for technologists”, and plans to “improve the workplace experience of CoreStackers all over the world.”

Before joining CoreStack, Raghavan spent close to five years with Indigo, where he played a crucial role in maintaining the company’s status as India’s leading airline in terms of market share. He was an integral part of Indigo’s executive committee and efficiently managed human resources, including the learning academy, corporate social responsibility, and various administrative responsibilities.

Prior to Indigo, Raghavan was associated with Amazon, where he was the head-HR for APAC and Middle East, for seven years. He joined Amazon India in 2011 as director and country HR leader. At that time, the company had a small workforce of only 3,500 employees. However, during his tenure, the company experienced significant growth and the number of employees increased to 50,000. Raghavan played a critical role in driving this growth and was instrumental in launching Amazon.in. He oversaw HR across the entire business, including launching its first fulfilment centre operations in the country.

In 2016, he was elevated to the role of HR head for Asia Pacific, which included India, China and the recent acquisition of Souq in the Middle East. He was in charge of the international consumer business and the global technology development centres in the area.

His longest stint was with GE, where he served for close to ten years. Raghavan has more than 30 years of experience, having worked with Eureka Forbes – where he started his career – Hindustan Unilever (Brooke Bond Lipton), Ford India and HSBC among other big names.
