    Renault Group hires Neelam Pillai as head – HR

    Renault Group, the car manufacturer has roped in Neelam Pillai as head – HR. Pillai comes with close to two decades of professional experience.

    Prior to joining the Renault Group, she was the country head- HR at Coesia, an industrial packaging company. In this role, Pillai served as an HR generalist and headed the HR function for the Indian region. She spent a long and successful eight-year tenure with Coesia.

    Going by her career trajectory, Pillar is clearly one of those HR leaders who like spending time with their employer. Even when she was working with Lombardini India (Now part of Kohler Power Group), an engine and generator manufacturer, she spent close to 11 and a half years with the Company. She joined the company in 2001 as a team leader for quality and personnel. She was also an Italian translator and interpreter for the Company.

    In 2007, when Lombardini was acquired by the Kohler Power Group, Pillai took on a new role as the HR manager and strategically partnered with the management and the business to execute HR operations. She was responsible for career development, staffing and retention, succession planning, training, employee relations, labour relations support, as well as compensation and benefits.

    Before 2007, Lombardini was part of Mark IV Industries.

    Pillai initially started her career as a consultant and an Italian interpreter. Not only has she completed an MBA,, but she also carries a bachelor’s degree in English literature and psychology.
