Adani Green Energy has announced the appointment of Poly Singh Arora as chief people officer, bringing in more than 23 years of HR leadership experience. In her new mandate, she will lead people strategy with a focus on organisational transformation, leadership development, employee engagement, and aligning talent initiatives with the company’s business and sustainability priorities.
Arora joins Adani Green from Mumbai International Airport (CSMIA), where she was head–HR from January 2025. She previously held the role of general manager – human resources at CSMIA from November 2022 to December 2024, working closely with the senior leadership to build organisational capability and drive HR transformation at the airport.
Her career spans over two decades across telecom, BPO, aviation and shared services. Arora started in February 2003 as executive HR at Excel Callnet, Chandigarh. She then spent over 13 years at Vodafone India, progressing from executive – HR operations, Punjab Circle in Mar 2004 to senior executive – resourcing, UP West in Oct 2006. By 2008 she was an assistant manager- resourcing in UP West, followed by deputy manager – resourcing for Punjab & HP Circle in January 2010. A move to Mumbai saw her take on deputy manager – HR operations in Jan 2012, then manager and senior manager – performance & rewards at the corporate office between 2014-2016, and AGM–HR in July 2016.
Between Mar 2017 and Nov 2022, she was with VFS Global. She served as DGM HR for West India, South India & Sri Lanka and later as regional HR head / general manager HR – South Asia before being elevated to regional HR head / senior GM HR – South Asia in July 2021.
Known for expertise in strategic HR, workforce planning, performance and rewards, and change management, Arora’s appointment reflects Adani Green Energy’s commitment to building a future-ready, people-first organisation.
