Schaeffler India, a leading global automotive and industrial supplier, has appointed Shibi Mathew as its new head of human resources and corporate social responsibility (CSR). With over 22 years of strategic HR experience, Mathew will oversee initiatives that strengthen the company’s workforce and reinforce its people-first philosophy.

Mathew joins Schaeffler India’s leadership team after nearly 16 years at Mahle, a German automotive manufacturer, where she led HR and Administration. Her expertise includes shared services, digitalisation, global mobility, HR analytics, and diversity and inclusion.

In her new role, Mathew will spearhead HR strategies and CSR efforts, focusing on fostering high-performing teams, enhancing workplace culture, and driving employee engagement. Harsha Kadam, managing director and CEO, Schaeffler India, remarked, “She brings with her a wealth of experience that aligns perfectly with our vision of fostering innovation and inclusivity.”

A graduate of Pune University with a master’s degree in Personnel Management, Mathew also holds diplomas in Labour Law and Executive Leadership. She is eager to contribute to Schaeffler India’s operational excellence and technological advancements.

Schaeffler India, part of the global Schaeffler Group, has been a prominent provider of motion technology solutions in the mobility and industrial sectors for over six decades. The company operates four manufacturing facilities, three R&D centres, and eight sales offices, employing more than 3,000 people across the country.
