Topsoe has appointed Dr Sunaina Dutta as head HR – APAC & Middle East. In this new role. she will lead the HR agenda across the region, including talent, organisational effectiveness, culture and leadership development. She will partner with regional and global leadership teams on people strategy, organisation design, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement and change management across APAC and the Middle East.
Dutta brings over 22 years of HR experience across manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, real estate and education. Before joining Topsoe, she served as head-HR at Hettich India for over a decade, from 2014 to 2025.
At Hettich India, Dutta worked with business leaders on talent management, learning and development, performance management, organisational development and workforce planning. She also led initiatives around HR transformation, employee engagement and organisational restructuring, and was involved in merger and acquisition projects.
Prior to Hettich, Dutta spent five years with JBM Group as head – HR for BG-VII and BG-IX, from September 2009 to September 2014. She supported employee engagement and HR initiatives across the headquarters and two plants with a workforce of more than 5,000 employees. She also led culture and employer branding initiatives and managed a team of regional HR specialists.
Earlier, Dutta was senior human resources manager at Rai Foundation from January 2005 to August 2009, where she partnered with the CEO and leadership team on people strategy, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and employee engagement.
She began her HR career at Apollo Hospitals, where she worked as deputy manager – HR from April 2003 to January 2005.
She holds an MBA in HR and Marketing from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a PGDHHM from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning.
