Swiggy has expanded leadership roles for three senior executives even as it scales up its Instamart and Food Marketplace businesses.

Himavant Kurnala has been appointed chief growth and product officer – Instamart, Nitesh Garg has been appointed chief technology officer – Instamart, and Saurav Goyal has been appointed chief operating officer – Food Marketplace.

Kurnala has been associated with Instamart’s Product charter since 2024. He went on to take on the responsibilities of growth and brand marketing too. He is credited with driving Instamart’s shift to an AI-native product and operating model, unifying product, design, analytics and trust and safety into a single organisation.  Kurnala will bring growth, marketing, analytics and product together to deepen customer value.

Garg has been with Swiggy for over seven years, with his most recent role being senior vice president -engineering, Instamart and New Initiatives. In fact, he has led Instamart’s engineering since inception, driving engineering excellence through robust architecture, operational reliability and the thoughtful adoption of AI, while building a high-performing organisation known for ownership and talent depth. He will now continue to drive technology innovation for the business’s next phase of growth.

Goyal joined Swiggy in 2020, looking into business finance for Food, Instamart and, most recently, Driver and Delivery Product and Operations. He has partnered closely with the business on strategic planning, operating leverage and sustainable profitability, while contributing meaningfully to Swiggy’s IPO journey. He is credited with the Food Marketplace’s strongest growth quarter in early 2026, backed by a reliable delivery network. In his new role, he will be tasked with driving sharper execution and operating discipline, continuing to lead Driver and Delivery while also taking on Food Customer Experience.

Girish Menon, CHRO, Swiggy, believes “robust leadership comes from investing in our talent, grooming them and giving them a larger canvas to express”. According to him, Himavant Kurnala, Nitesh Garg and Saurav Goyal “have moved across varied charters and been instrumental in scaling our businesses”. He said that “their expanded roles recognise what they have built, and, more importantly, offer an opportunity to take on larger challenges and shape what’s next for Swiggy.”

Recently, Nandita Sinha was appointed as chief executive officer, Instamart, and Gautam Swaroop was roped in for chief business officer, Instamart. Earlier this year, Swapnil Bajpai was elevated to chief executive officer of Swiggy’s Dineout and Scenes business, while Sidharth Bhakoo continues as the chief business officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace.
