Shweta Mhatre has joined Lakmé Lever as head-HR and training.

After completing a BBA in Finance from SVKM’s Narsee Monji Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mhatre went on to obtain an MBA in Human Resources Development from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, in 2017.

She has interned with Centrum India as well as Philips before she began her association with L’Oréal in July of 2017.
Mhatre entered the organisation as a management trainee for a year, working out of Mumbai. She was appointed human resources business partner-sales and education, East India, in July of 2018. This role saw her working out of Kolkata for over a year.

On being promoted to human resources business partner-sales and education, South India, Shweta Mhatre relocated to Bangalore, in November of 2019. She essayed this role for two years before another promotion put her in the position of lead-campus relations and integration. In this role, she was based out of Mumbai from October 2021 to February 2024. By March of 2024, she had reached the position of human resources business partner-operations, SAPMENA zone at the personal care product manufacturing company.

Now, at Lakmé Lever, she will be tasked with leading the people and capability agenda. Additionally, she will also oversee the HR strategy, talent development and training initiatives to support the brand’s growth.

In her social-media post, Mhatre says, “From eagerly looking forward to my salon visits to now being a part of the salon industry, this truly feels like a full-circle moment”.

HRKatha wishes Shweta Mhatre all the best as she tries to help “elevate the beauty experience across the country”.
