Schneider Electric has appointed Subhasis Mishra as VP-HR. This alumnus of Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar) comes with over two decades of experience.
Mishra spent the initial years of his career as manager-HR, Prudential ICICI Asset Management Company, from 2001 to 2003. He then moved to Star TV as assistant manager-HR for a year.
The year 2004 saw him joining The Walt Disney Company as head HR-India, leading all aspects of the HR function including talent acquisition, learning & development, compensation management, talent management and organisational development. Two years later, he was elevated to head-HR, India and South East Asia.
His next stop was Disney Interactive Media Group, North Hollywood. There, he served as senior manager-HR, based out of California for two years.
In 2010 he started his association with The Walt Disney Studios. He served as director-HR for two years before being elevated to HR leader-global distribution, Walt Disney Studios, working out of Burbank, California. A year later, he was promoted to the role of HR leader-studio technology, Walt Disney Studios, working out of Glendale, California. He successfully led a team of HR business partners to develop and execute HR strategies for the organisation partnering with the CTO of Walt Disney Studios.
In March of 2015, Subhasis Mishra moved to Bengaluru to join Target, as direct and head of talent acquisition, Target India.
From September 2017 to 2019, he served Amazon as talent acquisition and diversity recruiting leader. Two years into this role, he was elevated to head, talent acquisition, Amazon.in. Two and a half years later, he was elevated to head of talent acquisition-Asia Pacific, Amazon Entertainment.
After a successful seven-year long tenure with Amazon, Subhasis Mishra took a break for about five months.
At Schneider Electric, Mishra lead a team of HR business partners to develop and execute HR strategies partnering with business leaders in India and globally. He will be based out of Bengaluru.
