The Hershey Company, known for over 70 brands of snacks worldwide, has appointed Natalie Rothman as chief human resources officer (CHRO), starting 18 August, 2025.
According to Kirk Tanner, CEO, The Hershey Company, to whom Rothman will report, “Her proven track record of transforming HR functions at major organisations, combined with her deep expertise in developing talent and inspiring thriving cultures, makes her the ideal leader to advance our people strategy. Natalie’s experience preparing companies for significant growth milestones will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global footprint and strengthen our position as a leading snacking company.”
Rothman, who worked as a senior consultant at Gundersen Partners, in the initial years of her carreer journey, moved to The Estee Lauder Companies after five years. She joined as director, staffing and human resources, based out of New York City for two years, from 2001 to 2003. She then switched to Brown Raysman Millstein Felder, as employment law associate for three years.
Rothman’s next stop was PepsiCo, where she played senior human resources manager, corporate, for two years.
July of 2008 saw her taking on the role of director-human resources, Pepsi Cola North America. Two years into this role, she was elevated to senior director, human resources, North American Beverage retail. By 2012 she was promoted to senior director, human resources, global foodservice.
She served as an independent director, audit committee, at SilverBox Engaged Capital for a short while before joining Raleigh Chamber as board member in September 2019. During the same time she became an HR advisory board member for Poole College of Management, North Carolina State University.
Her association with Advance Auto Parts began in 2016, as EVP, chief human resources officer. Seven years into this role, she was promoted to Advance Foundation Board Member.
From February2023 to January 2025 she was advisor, SilverBox Capital. From May 2023 to May 2025 she was chief people officer, Inspire Brands. She was also non-executive board member at The Woodruff Arts Centre for over a year. She has a part-time role as chairperson of the Compensation Committee and member of the Nominating and Governance Committee, Udemy, since May of 2022.
She is also an advisory board member at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Pearce Services has her as board member since January 2025, while New Mountain Capital has her as advisor since May 2025.
Now, at The Hershey Company, which is known for its popular Kisses, Hershey’s, Reese’s and Kit Kat among other brands, Rothman is “looking forward to helping build an even stronger culture where our amazing team can thrive”.
