Punam Attar has accepted the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO) at Vasudha Pharma Chem. She moves to the pharmaceuticals manufacturing company from Granules India where she was leading HR and admin since 2024.
An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, Punam Attar has spent a significant portion of her career with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.
She joined the company as a production associate in 2006. Four and a half years later, she was promoted to team leader, warehouse operations, in January of 2011. During this role, Attar completed her postgraduation in Chemistry and was also promoted to assistant manager, human resources in April of 2014.
After a 14-year stint with Dr Reddy’s, Punam Attar moved to Abbot as admin manager, in September of 2020. Four years into this role, she switched to MSN Laboratories, as site HR lead, in February of 2023.
It was in March of 2024 that she took up the role of lead HR and admin at Granules India.
In her latest assignment at Vasudha Pharma, Attar will be expected to contribute significantly to the organisation’s future readiness, adility and high-performance culture.
Known to have a way with people, Attar will surely succeed in creating effective work teams that are capable of creating value for the organsiation.
Attar is an HR person who thinks globally and delivers locally in the areas of organisation development, self-managed teams, talent management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations and lean deployment.
