    Zee Media appoints Pavel Chopra as CHRO

    Chopra moves from OxyZEN Express where he was CHRO since 2022

    Zee Media Corporation (ZMCL) has roped in Pavel Chopra for the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO). He moves from OxyZEN Express where he was CHRO since January of 2022.

    An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Chopra has also completed an MCA in computer engineering.

    He has spent nine years with Genpact, from 2002 to 2011, initially as manager, compensation and benefits, for three years; then as manager, HR (US outbound collections) for seven months. An elevation made him senior manager, HR (healthcare business) in 2006. Less than a year and a half later, he became HR leader (US collections/customer service centre). By the time he moved on from Genpact in 2011, he had become head-compensation, Genpact India.

    Chopra’s association with Birla Sun Life Insurance lasted only a year and four months, following which he joined Sony Pictures Networks India, in 2012, as senior HR business partner and head of rewards & PMS. This role saw him based out of Mumbai for almost three years.

    August of 2015 saw Chopra take on the role of CHRO, Gati. Three years into this role, he was elevated to chief HR, admin and vigilance officer, based out of Hyderabad. After more than five successful years Chopra became CHRO of Allcargo Logistics & Gati in April 2021.

    According to media reports, Chopra will focus on organisational development in this latest role, ensuring that ZMCL’s people policies, culture and practices result in exceptional performance. It will be his responsibility to see that the change initiatives are in line with ZMCL’s business and people goals.
