Kong has roped in Gunjan Aggarwal as its new chief people officer (CPO). In this assignment, Aggarwal will spearhead Kong’s global people strategy, oversee recruitment and drive innovative initiatives to promote employee growth and organisational success.

Before joining Kong, Aggarwal was associated with Confluent as its CPO. In her capacity, she played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s talent strategy following its IPO. She joined the company in the year 2022.

With three decades of experience in the HR domain, Aggarwal is known for her advocacy of innovation, authentic leadership and fostering a diverse culture.

Aggarwal has made significant contributions to every organisation she has been a part of. Her professional journey also includes valuable stints at Unilever, Ericsson, Novartis, Relix and RingCentral.

Beyond her corporate roles, Aggarwal is an advisor to Canvas Space, a Web 3.0 startup that helps creators monetise their work. Her advisory expertise extends to CanGrade, a Harvard-based analytics recruiting startup, and Rubia, a non-profit organisation, supporting Afghan women.

Aggarwal holds a BS in electronics & communications from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) in New Delhi, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also holds an MBA in HR from XLRI Jamshedpur, where she was the valedictorian for two consecutive years and received the Citibank Leadership Award.
