Pooja Duggal, who was earlier head of human resources, Zee Media, has now joined Exicom Tele Systems as chief human resources officer (CHRO).

An alumna of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), she has also completed a leadership-development programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.

Duggal began her professional journey in the year 2004, with HCL Technologies. She joined the company as its software tester. In 2005, she moved to Right Management as a consultant. There, she designed and delivered programmes on the various nuances of leadership for IT/ITES, banking, oil and petroleum, and telecom industry.

In 2010, Duggal moved to MTS as lead-HR strategy and organisational development. In this role, she played a key part in building the MTS brand in India by contributing to the design and implementation of strategic HR systems and processes, including the competency framework, high-potential employee programmes, and quarterly incentive schemes.

December of 2011 saw Pooja Duggal switching to Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL), as its global-HR manager. In this role, she deployed the employee-engagement framework for JSPL’s 12 locations, globally – with key focus on impact planning and engagement dashboards. Additionally, she designed and launched a strategic leadership goal-setting process clearly aligning the business agenda to individual scorecards.

In January 2014, Duggal became associated with Raychem RPG as its head-HR for its Energy Product Business and channelised business strategies into HR objectives, thereby positively contributing to the business’ P&L.

Duggal’s next stop, in 2019, was HT Media as its assistant vice president, leading its talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management, HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning. In 2022, she was promoted to VP-HR.

In September 2022, she joined HT Digital Streams as its head-HR, before joining Zee Media ten months later.

Her new assignment at Exicom Tele Systems will see her working out of Gurugram. HRKatha wishes  Pooja Duggal all the best!
