Renault’s recent employee share ownership campaign, dubbed the Renaulution Shareplan, ran from 18 September to 2 October, 2024. Under the campaign, eligible employees across 30 countries were allocated seven free shares. Additionally, employees in 24 countries were offered the chance to purchase additional shares on favourable terms.

The initiative reinforces Renault’s longstanding tradition as a ‘social laboratory’. It aims to engage employees in the company’s transformation.

This year marks the third edition of the share ownership plan, emphasising the importance of value sharing among all contributors to the company’s success. By the end of the campaign, employees are expected to collectively own 5.74 per cent of Renault SA’s capital, underscoring their trust in the organisation’s strategy.

The 2024 Renaulution Shareplan allowed for the allocation of approximately 8,17,600 shares, equating to 0.28 per cent of Renault SA’s capital, to be distributed free to employees. Participation was robust, with nearly 46,000 employees—about 43 per cent of those eligible—engaging in the subscription offer. The total investment from employees exceeded €31.1 million, averaging around €679 per participant, leading to more than 1,063,000 subscribed shares, which represents 0.36 per cent of the company’s capital.

Ultimately, the 2024 Renaulution Shareplan will facilitate the transfer of around 1,881,000 shares to employees, translating to 0.64 per cent of Renault SA’s capital. This significant allocation brings the Group closer to its goal of achieving a 10 per cent employee shareholding, further solidifying employee involvement in the company’s future growth and success.
