Dipty Jalan has returned to Usha International as chief human resources officer (SVP HR). After working with the firm from 2015 to 2024, she had moved to Axis Max Life Insurance to take on the role of corporate vice president-head talent management, learning, culture and OD, in December of 2024.

An alumna of Lady Shri Ram College and Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneshwar), Dipty Jalan is backed by over two decades of experience. She had started her career with McKinsey & Co. as information analyst, in 2003. She supported client teams on financial and strategic analysis of companies/ industries using research. She joined Right Management as project leader in 2008 and was elevated to programme manager in 2011. She handled relationship management, business development and project delivery for various HR areas for the next three years, before moving to Sistema Shyam Teleservices in January, 2014. For over a year and a half she successfully played assistant director, OD, L&D and employee engagement, working out of Gurgaon. Amongst other responsibilities, she managed training calendars, created content, conducted ‘train the trainer’ workshops, and even led the design and deployment of the performance management system including the KPI standardisation process.

In September 2015 began her association with Usha International. She joined as DGM-talent management head. Over a year and eight months into this role she was elevated to general manager-L&D and talent management head. April of 2019 saw her being promoted to senior general manager-L&D and talent management head. From 2021 to 2024 she served as assistant vice president-head regional HRBP, talent management, L&D, D&I and HR operations. By the time she moved on from Usha International in December 2024, she had reached the position of vice president-head talent management, L&D, D&I, HR operations and head regional HRBP.

Dipty Jalan’s stint as corporate vice president-head talent management, learning, culture and OD, at Axis Max Life Insurance lasted barely eight months. And she is now back at Usha International, the fast-moving consumer durables company, playing CHRO (SVP HR).
