Sandoz, the global generic and biosimilar medicines manufacturer, has appointed Aarti A Kapoor as head of people and organisation operations for region international. She moves from McDonald’s where she served as director-global HR operations and service delivery.

After a humble beginning as a customer service specialist and then a teacher, Aarti Kapoor took up the role of senior associate at Infovision India, in April of 2005. She then moved to Amex as a business analyst in 2007. A year into this role, she was elevated to manager-leave of absence. In this role, she spent about six years working out of Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area. Among other things, she was responsible for implementation, maintenance, and communication for effective compliance related to leave and disability, and medical accommodation programmes.

Kapoor’s next stop was Amazon where she joined as manager-HR services, in January of 2014. After over two years of working out of Bangalore and Hyderabad, she was elevated to operations manager-HR services, in 2016. Three years later, she was promoted to global services delivery hub leader-HR services, in 2019.

She moved on from Amazon after over seven years, to take up the role of capability lead-HR operations, global business services, at PepsiCo, in October 2021.

Over two and a half years into this role, she was promoted to director-people operations and service delivery | people, experience and transformation.

Adani Group roped Aarti Kapoor in for the role of vice president-people enablement and service delivery, in February 2025. Soon after, she joined McDonald’s as director-global HR operations and service delivery.

Known for her dedication and clarity, Kapoor’s calm demeanour and unwavering focus will stand her in good stead in her role at Sandoz.

Kapoor believes that “our success begins with how we show up for our people every day” and she is looking forward to ensuring seamless global collaboration across “more than 50 countries and 16 different time zones”.
