Ishan Technologies has appointed Saibal Roy as the chief operating officer (COO), a move aimed at bolstering leadership as the pan-India ICT and digital infrastructure firm expands its footprint and sharpens operational focus.
Roy brings over 30 years of experience across India’s telecom and enterprise-technology sector. He spent nearly 14 years at Bharti Airtel, leading government, enterprise, and carrier wholesale businesses to consistent growth. Earlier, he was India vertical head for manufacturing, retail and distribution at ServiceNow India. His career also includes senior roles at Tata Communications, HFCL and Tulip Telecom, giving him broad expertise in connectivity, digital transformation, and customer-led growth. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and is an alumnus of ISB Hyderabad and INSEAD Fontainebleau.
Purvi Kotecha, director, Ishan Technologies, stated that the company has built customer trust over 25 years and strengthening operations is now critical. She noted that Roy’s leadership depth, market insight, and track record of scaling organisations will be key to the next growth phase.
