Bengaluru-based digital healthcare platform Practo has announced a major leadership transition to power its next phase of global expansion.

Founder Shashank ND Singh has moved into an expanded role as managing director and executive chairman, while Jagnoor Singh, who joined as chief operating officer in January 2025, has been elevated as chief executive officer with effect from 1 September 2026.

Under the new structure, Shashank will continue to steer overall vision, product and strategy, with a sharper focus on long-term innovation, capital strategy, inorganic growth and corporate development. Jagnoor will take charge of overall strategy, growth and operations across global markets.

The company said the change comes at a time of strong momentum, with Practo growing at 40 per cent year-on-year and staying profitable for the last two and a half years.

Shashank Singh noted that Practo has built a trusted platform connecting patients, doctors and providers over 18 years and is now entering a phase that needs stronger execution while investing in ideas that will define healthcare in the next decade. He credited Jagnoor Singh for bringing operating rigour and advancing the growth agenda.

Jagnoor Singh’s close to two years at Practo have strengthened his belief in the opportunity ahead. Prior to Practo, he held senior leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, Unacademy and OYO. As CEO, he plans to scale globally, deepen Practo’s role across the healthcare ecosystem and embed AI across products.

As part of a broader bench-strengthening move, Practo has also expanded roles for two long-time leaders. Co-founder Siddhartha Nihalani has taken on additional charge as chief operating officer for B2C businesses, while Rowel Coelho, earlier head of monetisation, has been named COO for B2B, overseeing enterprise and corporate verticals. Together, they bring close to three decades of experience at Practo.

Co-founder Abhinav Lal has been appointed chief scientist to lead frontier research on AI in healthcare, build research partnerships and set up an innovation hub for future-ready technologies.

Practo currently works with over 700,000 doctors and healthcare providers across 2,400 cities globally and powers over 500 hospital clients through its hospital management system Insta across 1,200 facilities.
