Royal Dutch Shell is set to slash about 7,000 to 9,000 jobs by 2022, that is more than 10 per cent of its workforce, amidst the huge dip in demand for oil and gas. Hawai Karmachari Sena, one of the workers’ unions at the Mumbai Airport, has threatened to go on strike if its demands for pending salaries are not met.
