The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has upgraded its member portal to provide eight essential PF services online, removing the need for physical visits to regional offices.
The revamped dashboard consolidates services that were earlier scattered across multiple windows. Members can now activate UAN, generate UAN under Direct UAN Allotment without waiting for employer creation, update KYC details, check PF balance via e-passbook, file e-nomination, and submit withdrawal claims including PF Final Settlement (Form 19), Pension Withdrawal Benefit (Form 10-C) and PF Part Withdrawal (Form 31).
EPFO has clarified that claims can now be filed directly by members without employer intervention, provided UAN is active, Aadhaar is seeded, and bank account with IFSC is verified. For final settlement, PAN seeding is mandatory, and the system checks the date of exit and requires a two-month gap after leaving a PF-coverable job.
The overhaul is part of EPFO’s CITES 2.01 migration to a centralised architecture. Service requests are no longer tied to a specific regional office, claim validation is auto-processed for KYC-compliant cases up to Rs 5 lakh, queries can be answered online, and payments are routed through a centralised system for same-day credit. Interest will also be calculated till the date of payment authorisation, EPFO said, making the entire lifecycle self-service and transparent.
