    Jyoti Mahendru appointed chief talent officer & national communications officer, McCann Worldgroup

    Mahendru has moved from VML, where she had been serving as chief people officer-India for well over two years

    Jyoti Mahendru, who was serving as chief people officer-India, VML, has now taken on the role of chief talent officer (CTO) and national communications officer, McCann Worldgroup.

    This is Mahendru’s second stint with McCann. She has served the company as executive vice president-human resources from 2018 to 2022.

    An alumna of Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, Jyoti Mahendru has worked with Star TV Network as senior manager-HR for over five and a half years, from 1995 to 2000. She then moved to Barista Coffee Company as vice president-human resources, in October of 2000. Three and a half years later, she moved to Modicare, as vice president-HR for over two years.

    For a little while, she freelanced as an HR consultant before taking up the role of vice president-HR, Bharti Wal-Mart in November of 2007. Less than two years later, she was back to playing a retainer management consultant.

    After a five-year sabbatical, Mahendru returned to work as practice director-HR solutions, KNAV International, in September 2017.

    It was in April 2018 that she joined McCann Worldgroup as executive vice president-human resources. A little over four years into this role, she switched to VML, where she played chief people officer for two years and nine months.

    At McCann Worldgroup, a global creative-solutions company, Jyoti Mahendru will drive talent management, shape company culture, and lead internal communications throughout the network.

    Known to be a vibrant and result-oriented HR leader, her 25 years of professional expertise will be an asset to the company. HRKatha wishes Jyoti Mahendru all the best in her new role.
