Indian workforce-mobility platform, BorderPlus has acquired Onea Care, a German healthcare- recruitment firm.
As Ayush Mathur and Mayank Kumar, co-founders of BorderPlus explained,“This acquisition is a major step toward ensuring that Indian nurses and healthcare professionals have access to structured, fair, and high-quality job opportunities in Germany.”
The platform “will continue to explore such opportunities across key markets to expand our presence and support Indian skilled healthcare talent explore global career prospects.”
This growth strategy will allow for “a transparent and trustworthy route for Indian nurses to get recruitment opportunities.” Additionally, it will help check the issues related to llegal recruitment traps.
Clearly, BorderPlus is committed to “ethical recruitment and quality training”, which is why it is “doubling down on our commitment to transform global workforce mobility.”
BorderPlus has committed $10 million towards mergers and acquisitions to establish a strong on-ground presence in India, Germany, and other destination markets. It will also introduce digital-first solutions to streamline hiring, improve language training, and ensure seamless integration for healthcare professionals.
Germany, which is facing a shortage of healthcare professionals, will reportedly need about 1.5 lakh nurses in 2025 itself. In fact, Germany is looking to hire five lakh nurses over the next five years. Needless to say, India offers a pool of highly skilled and experienced nursing talent.
