Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has appointed Aarthi Subramanian as executive director-president and chief operating officer, for a five-year term, from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2030. She is also part of the Board of the Indian information technology multinational.
According to a BSE filing, her appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Subramanian has been associated with the Tata Group for more than 30 years now, serving in various leadership positions. She has also served as executive director and global head of delivery excellence, governance and compliance at TCS. This role had her overseeing global risk and compliance, and also ensuring excellence in service delivery, among other responsibilities.
As head of delivery for retail & CPG business unit at TCS, she led strategic accounts and major client relationships, driving customer satisfaction through rigorous service delivery and value addition.
Aarthi Subramanian holds a BTech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India, and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas, US.
Subramanian is presently the group chief digital officer, Tata Sons, which is the principal investment holding firm and promoter of Tata Enterprises.
She has been successfully enhancing efficiency in operations and working to improve customer engagement and experience by helping Tata Group companies embrace digital technologies. She has been contributing significantly to help the Group gain competitive advantage.
She is already on the board of Tata Capital and Tata AIA Life Insurance, as director. She is director, Infiniti Retail too.
