    Abhishek Mishra joins SRV Media as VP-HR

    SRV Media has appointed Abhishek Mishra as its new vice president-human resources. Prior to this, Mishra was associated with Sakal Media Group as its assistant general manager-HR. He joined the company in the year 2019 as its manager-HR, organisation development. After almost two years, he was elevated to chief manager-HR for the media group.

    Mishra comes with over 14 years of experience in HR. He has worked with many other renowned names such as Reliance Jio, Idea, Sony India and Larsen & Turbo. Furthermore, his expertise lies in performance management, capability development, compensation bench marking, job banding, succession planning and competency mapping.

    Mishra began his career with Larsen & Turbo in the year 2010. He joined the company as an assistant HR. In this role, Mishra was responsible for maintaining Intellectual Property (IP) and confidential documents related to industrial relations. He also ensured the disbursement of statutory minimum wages, ensuring compliance with various labour laws.

    In the year 2014 he joined Idea Cellular as an HR executive. In this role, Mishra dealt with the company’s payroll and performance-management system, managing, monitoring and supporting the annual implementations of the performance- management process as per bell curve and annual appraisal cycle. He was also responsible to manage the communications channels to ensure consistency and relevance, actively engaging employees through structured interactions.

    It was 2016 when he joined Reliance Jio as its assistant manager, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

    Mishra is an alumnus of IIM Nagpur and holds BSc in computer science and biotechnology.
