Kate Clifford has been elevated to global chief leadership & human resources officer, Accenture. She was earlier chief HR officer-Americas at the global professional services company. She will take over from Angela Beatty who had been serving in this position since September 2024.
Clifford’s association with Accenture is 27 years long, having started off as a business-process consultant, in July of 1998. Working out of Washington DC, she provided support in the management of project plans, resources, schedules, deliverables and issues. Two years into this role, she was elevated to field HR manager. For the next five years she led the overall delivery of client demand HR services for over 40 active engagements. October of 2005 saw her relocating to Greater New York City Area having been promoted to change management senior manager. For well over four years, among other things, she successfully defined and delivered the communication strategy for a transformation programme for a privately held $120B multinational corporation with 160,000 employees in 67 countries.
In May 2010 she was promoted once again, and she found herself in the position of lead-career management discipline. Over four years later, she shifted to Dallas on being promoted to people-mobility HR policy and programmes lead. Another elevation in 2014 made her director-performance and career development. From 2015 to 2016, she served as HR business partner associate director. December of 2016 was witness to her shouldering the responsibilities of Southwest region HR managing director. Two years into this role, she was promoted yet again to North America HR delivery managing director.
Since September 2024 she has been serving as chief HR officer-Americas. With this latest elevation, Kate Clifford will step into the shoes of Angela Beatty, who is moving on from Accenture.
Beatty has been with Accenture for over a decade now, having joined as managing director, total rewards-strategic change, in June of 2015. Over the last 10 years she had received many promotions and had climbed to the position of chief leadership and HR officer in September 2024. She had moved to Accenture from Towers Watson after a 15-year long stint. Her last-held designation at Towers Watson was that of director-rewards, talent and change management.
