Altimetrik has roped in Gautam Samanta to play chief commercial officer (CCO).  He moves to the AI-first data- and digital-engineering company from Coforge, where his tenure lasted over eight years.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Gautam Samanta began his professional journey with ICICI Bank as AVP-major clients group, about three decades ago.
After spending six years with ICICI, he moved to i-flex Solutions as senior manager, in 2001. His next stop was Infosys in 2005, where he served as client partner for three years, from 2005 to 2008, working out of London.
Capgemini appointed him vice president-financial services, in 2008. Five years later, he was back in Infosys, as vice president-financial services.
His association with Coforge began in 2017, as EVP and head of Europe. Within a year into this role he was elevated to EVP and global head of BFS/ head of Europe. Two years later he was promoted to global head of BFS for three years. Next came an elevation to president, head of BFS, head of ESG. By May of 2023 he had attained the position of president and executive board member.
In his new assignment at Altimetrik, he will be tasked with accelerating the company’s growth strategy and reinforcing its leadership as the AI-first orchestrator that enterprises need to thrive in an evolving digital landscape. He will report directly to Raj Sundaresan, chief executive officer, Altimetrik.
Among other things, Gautam Samanta will drive Altimetrik’s global commercial and go-to-market strategy, expanding client and partner engagement, strengthening execution discipline, and advancing the company’s growth initiatives across markets and industry verticals. His focus will be on aligning commercial priorities with transformational goals and enabling enterprises to realize measurable outcomes from AI adoption at scale.
Sundaresan is relying on Samanta’s “global experience and commercial discipline” to  achieve “sharper execution, deeper client value and measurable impact across markets.”
“Altimetrik’s AI-First vision strongly resonates with my belief in the transformative potential of AI and data,” said Gautam Samanta. He is looking forward to helping “shape the company’s next chapter—driving sharper execution, customer value and growth at scale.”
