Physics Wallah (PW), the Indian edtech platform, has appointed Amit Sachdeva as chief finance officer. He moves from from IGT Solutions, where he was playing a similar role.
An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, this CA began his career as manager-finance, Genpact, in 2001. Five years later, he moved to Wipro as general manager-finance. He spent over a decade managing multiple roles and portfolios within Wipro IT and BPS.
In June 2016, he became head of finance, Wipro Digital Operations and Platforms (DO&P). Three years later, in July 2019, Sachdeva joined Grofers, which later rebranded as Blinkit in 2021. Afer a three-year stint with the e-grocery company, he moved on to join IGT Solutions as chief financial officer, in January 2023.
Amit Sachdeva is also a Certified Public Accountant in the US, who will now lead the strategic and financial initiatives at Physics Wallah and strengthen the company’s vision of making quality education accessible.
Sachdeva sees this as “a great opportunity to support an organisation seeking to make education accessible to so many” and contribute to “PW’s objective to broaden educational access and be of help to students working towards their goals.”
