    Cauvery Uthappa is chief marketing officer, Randstad India

    Uthappa moves from Adecco where she was director and head of marketing, communications and public affairs

    Randstad India has appointed Cauvery Uthappa as chief marketing officer (CMO). She moves from Adecco where she was director and head of marketing, communications and public affairs.

    An alumna of Symbiosis Institute of Management, Cauvery Uthappa began her professional journey with ESPN Star Sports as marketing coordinator, in 2002. Over four years later, she moved to 24/7 Customer as assistant manager-internal communication and branding.

    August of 2007 saw her taking up the role of project manager at HP. For the next two years and nine months she managed the worldwide marketing communication activities for the technology services business unit of HP.

    In April 2010 she switched to Siemens IT Solutions and Services as head of marketing. The company was acquired by Atos Origin in July 2011. For the next five and a half years she served as senior manager-marketing, Atos.

    From 2017 to 2019 she was associated with TeamLease Services as general manager-marketing.

    Her tryst with Adecco began in August of 2019 when she joined as head of marketing and communications, India. Over two and a half years into this role, she was elevated to associate director-marketing, communications and public affairs. By April 2022 she had reached the position of director and head of marketing, communications and public affairs.

    In her new role, Cauvery Uthappa will spearhead the planning and execution of Randstad India’s marketing strategy, aligned with the global vision to build integrated, impactful, and future-ready marketing functions.

    Her diverse experience in marketing, strategy and leadership is in line with Randstad’s goal of driving it’s ‘Partner for Talent’ strategy, and establishing world-class marketing capabilities for India’s dynamic talent landscape.

    She will be tasked with delivering strong APAC strategic alignment, winning local execution, and engaging talent and client communities to enable profitable growth. In addition to leading Randstad India’s marketing strategy, she will continue to drive operational excellence in the company’s digital, AI first strategy, and build a consistent and cohesive brand presence in the market.

She looks forward to “building on Randstad’s strong foundation to deliver brand experiences that fuel growth and inspire trust in an evolving employment landscape, and amplify our differentiation in the industry.”
