Centricity WealthTech, the Indian tech-enabled wealth-management startup has roped in Kamal Kishore to play chief artificial intelligence (AI) and technology officer. Kishore was earlier serving Tata Digital as head of AI engineering and solutions.

An alumnus of Delhi University’s Moti Lal Nehru College, Kamal Kishore has completed a course in big data and analytics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the initial phase of his career, he was an independent consultant on distributed systems for about two years and eight months, with focus on middle-tier and server-side component development.

December of 2006 saw him take up the role of technical specialist for Citibank at Satyam Computer Services. A year into this role he was elevated to senior technical consultant for ING Life, working out of Japan. After a tenure that lasted over two years with Satyam Computer Services, Kamal Kishore moved to Royal Bank of Scotland. From 2009 to 2011 he served as associate-technology architect there before switching to S&P Global. For the next almost four years, Kamal Kishore served as director-global head of data and analytics platforms for equities for the company (then known as Markit) that provides governments, businesses, and individuals with market data, expertise, and technology solutions for confident decision-making.

January of 2015 was witness to Kishore beginning a three and a half year long association with Nagarro, as director-technology, global head of big data & ML practice.

ThoughtWorks appointed him as India head of data science and engineering in July of 2018.

In August 2020 Kishore joined Expedia Group as India site lead and director of engineering-data platforms, analytics and machine learning. After a year and nine months, he moved on to play head of AI engineering and solutions at Tata Digital, in April 2022.

Now, as chief AI and technology officer at Centricity, a company that helps empower finance and investment professionals aspiring to establish their independent practices, Kamal Kishore will spearhead the next phase of technology growth, focusing on developing advanced AI tools and driving both global and domestic market initiatives.

Manu Awasthy, founder & CEO, Centricity WealthTech, is banking on “Kamal’s expertise in enterprise AI, generative solutions and customer intelligence,” to accelerate “innovation, strengthen our competitive edge, and deliver meaningful, future-ready experiences for our clients, especially in the UHNI segment”. Aswathy believes that Kishore’s “proven track record will help the company to deliver measurable impact and strengthen its leadership in tech-enabled wealth management.”

In his new assignment, Kamal Kishore will make it his priority “to leverage AI and advanced analytics to deliver seamless, hyper-personalised transparent investment experiences” even while while aiming to “redefine benchmarks in innovation, trust and financial inclusion.”

HRKatha wishes him luck in this endeavour.
