    Deepti Mehta elevated to asst VP-HR, Schneider Electric-Luminous India

    Deepti Mehta, who was GM-HR at Luminous Technologies, has been promoted to the position of assistant vice president – HR. Mehta, who has 18 years of experience in strategic HR business partner and talent acquisition and talent management, joined Luminous in 2014, as assistant general manager – HR. She was heading talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR digitisation and HR shared services. In two years, she became deputy general manager – HR, heading talent acquisition and serving as HR business partner for support function (finance, legal, commercial, IT, supply chain, purchase), customer service and marketing.

    With expertise in driving people process excellence, organisation development, strategic HR and talent-management initiatives in diverse industries, such as IT, telecom and consumer durables, Mehta soon went on to become general manager – HR, in 2019.

    Mehta, who graduated from Shivaji University in 2003, completed a management development programme in business administration and general management, from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. She started her career with HCL Technologies, serving as senior executive – HR, for well over two years. In 2006, she joined Bharti Airtel as an HR professional, managing talent acquisition for over three years. In 2009, she became head – talent acquisition and talent management at STEL, responsible for talent acquistion and management, succession planning, performance management system and HR Policies. After a three and a half year stint with STEL, she moved on to a DGM – HR role in an IT services company for a year and a half, before joining Luminous in 2014.

    In her 18-year long career, she has gained expertise in building people capability through competency-based learning interventions, building a high-performance culture, and creating HR processes and policies. Employee engagement and enhancing employee experience, as well as diversity and inclusion have also been her forte.

    With her ability to lead change management, transformation and OD interventions, Mehta will continue to be an asset to Luminous Technologies in her new role.
