Kirloskar Oil Engines has elevated Kiran Bhagnure-Khapre to the position of chief human resources officer (CHRO). She was earlier head-C&B, talent acquisition and HR operational excellence.
An alumna of Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Bhagnure-Khapre worked as a customer care officer with Convergys in the early years of her career. She worked as a trainee with e-Zest Solutions for over a year before joining Cummins India as assistant manager-HR, in 2007. Just over four years into this role, she was elevated to manager-HR, working out of Kothrud, Pune. By January of 2013, she had become executive manager-HR.
After over seven years with Cummins India, Kiran Bhagnure-Khapre took up the role of HR leader-CTCI corporate functions, at Cummins Technologies India. She was promoted to HR leader-CRTI and CTCI lab operations, in 2015. June of 2016 saw her playing HR leader-ITO corporate functions.
November of 2017 was witness to Bhagnure-Khapre taking on the role of HR leader-ABO line functions at Cummins Inc. For the next three and a half years she spearheaded the end-to-end HR functions for the corporate office and the functional talent management for HR, finance, quality, manufacturing and HSE functions.
From May 2021 to February 2023, she was India HR head at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BTC).
Her association with Kirloskar Oil Engines began in March 2023, when she took up the role of HR head-power generation business and Kagal plant. Less than a year into this role, she was elevated to head-C&B, talent acquisition and HR operational excellence.
