Kumkum Aggarwal has joined Vedanta Group as its new director-talent acquisition. In her new capacity, Aggarwal will play a pivotal role in spearheading the company’s talent-acquisition strategies, especially for leadership roles.
Prior to joining Vedanta Group, Aggarwal was associated with Korn Ferry as its talent-search partner, from October 2022 to September 2024.
Aggarwal began her career with Convergys India as a team leader, in the year 2002. After four years, in 2005, she joined Kelly Services India, as branch head-Delhi & National Capital Region.
In the year 2011, Aggarwal moved to Gi Group as its regional head. Her role involved working closely with the company’s clients to provide superlative services in the space of temporary staffing. In 2012, Aggarwal joined Opulencia, a platform specialising in recruitments. In 2013, she rejoined Gi Group as its vice president.
In her next career move, Aggarwal joined Randstad in 2018, as its general manager-professional search and selection. Within a year, she was elevated to the role of vice president- professional search and selection.
An alumna of IIM Calcutta, Aggarwal is deeply passionate about fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and takes pride in recruiting senior women leaders. With her expertise in human resource management and performance-focused recruitment, particularly at leadership and lateral levels, she will play a key role in aligning Vedanta’s talent strategy with its growth goals.
