Kotak Neo, a technology-driven trading and investment platform by Kotak Securities, has promoted Mahak Chowdhary to deputy vice president, recognising her nine-year rise through the company’s human resources team. She stepped into the new role in May 2026 after serving as associate vice president-human resources for over two years.

Chowdhary’s career at Kotak Neo began in April 2017 as a management trainee in HR. In 2018, she moved up to deputy manager, where she spent one year handling core HR operations. She became the manager-human resources in April 2019, taking on more responsibility in talent and people strategy.

In April 2022, she was named as the senior human resources manager. For two years in that position, she focused on employee engagement, team building, and improving how the HR function supported business goals.

Her last role before the current promotion was that of associate vice president-human resources, from April 2024 to April 2026. During these two years, she led key talent initiatives, worked closely with business leaders, and helped strengthen company culture and workforce planning. Her work centred on making HR a direct driver of growth and employee experience.

Before joining Kotak Neo, Mahak Chowdhary completed her MBA at IBS Hyderabad in 2017 and worked as an HR intern at ABB for four months in 2016.

With more than nine years in the field, she brings strong skills in HR business partnering, talent management, employee relations, and HR technology. In her new role, she will continue shaping Kotak Neo’s people strategy, supporting talent development, and driving organisational growth.

We at HRKatha wish Mahak Chowdhary all the best!
