ZEE Entertainment Enterprises has appointed Rohit Suri as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective 12 May, 2025. Based in Mumbai, Suri will report directly to Punit Goenka, CEO, and take charge of shaping ZEE’s human capital strategy in alignment with its future growth plans.

In the new role, he will strengthen the organisation’s workforce capabilities, implement progressive HR policies, and foster a culture of high performance and collaboration.

With over 25 years of experience in human resources, talent development, and cultural transformation, Suri brings a strong background from roles across the consumer, internet, technology, and media sectors. He has previously worked in regions such as South Asia, APAC, and Europe.

Most recently, Suri was associated with Netflix India as its head-talent management. He joined the company in 2022. Prior to joining Netflix, Suri was associated with Dentsu International as its CHRO.

Before Dentsu, Suri was the chief talent officer at GroupM India in 2016,heading the people and talent function in the organisation. At GroupM, Suri spent more than five years and was responsible for building career paths and development of talent.

Known to be a business-focussed HR leader, Suri’s career has exposed him to areas such as business transformation, leadership- development programmes, HR project management, and cultural integration.

Prior to GroupM, Suri spent more than a year at people interactive, which owns Shaadi.com, as VP-HR, where he headed the talent, HR operations and talent- development function. In this role, he had dual reporting, to the founder as well as to the CEO. He joined the company in 2014.

In his previous stints, Suri has also worked with One97communications, which owns the Paytm brand as the VP-HR, in 2013. In the initial phase of his career, Suri spent time with brands such as The Indian Express and ABC Consultants, honing his skills in HR.

Punit Goenka, CEO, Zee, welcomed the appointment, emphasising the importance of human capital in driving ZEE’s long-term success. According to him, “Suri’s deep expertise in talent development and cultural integration is timely as we aim to evolve our HR operations and build an environment that supports innovation, collaboration, and performance.”

Suri expressed enthusiasm about joining ZEE at a transformative phase. He looks forward to contributing to its strategic goals “by enhancing employee engagement, leadership development, and creating a data-driven HR ecosystem.”
