    PepsiCo India brings back Suchitra Rajendra as vice president HR

    Rajendra will take over from Samik Basu, who quit a few months back.

    Suchitra Rajendra, who was heading HR at PepsiCo Asia Pacific for Thailand, North Asia and Philippines, has returned to India.

    She will apparently head the HR function for PepsiCo India, as V-P HR. Rajendra, will step in the shoes of Samik Basu, who quit PepsiCo India a few months back. Basu has been with Pepsi for 14 years in various capacities.

    Rajendra has more than two decades of rich HR experience in India and Australia, in a variety of sectors ranging from not-for-profit to consulting and FMCG. She has experience in line HR, consulting and strategic HR.

    A science graduate from Mt. Carmel College, Bangalore, and a post graduate in PM & IR from XLRI, Rajendra had joined Pepsi in 2006. Since then she has managed several responsibilities, which include setting up the processes and strategy of learning at Fritolay and heading talent acquisition.

    She has worked very closely with the PepsiCo team on the D&I agenda and is a certified facilitator of D&I pedagogy.

    Rajendra also has been on HR consultancy having worked with Cerebrus Consultants and WorkVentures. She has been a consultant to a variety of industries including automotive, FMCG, telematics and global not-for-profits.
