Novartis has elevated Pankhuri Garg to director, talent & development, where she will now shape the future of the company’s global talent and learning technology ecosystem. In this expanded mandate, Garg is responsible for driving an AI-first roadmap, overseeing product innovation, governance, and adoption across talent acquisition, talent management, learning, performance and the overall employee experience.

Before the promotion, she served Novartis as design and deployment lead for enterprise and innovation solutions from July 2025 to July 2026. During her one-year stint, she led large-scale workforce transformation programmes and anchored key people, technology and data initiatives.

Garg brings over 21 years of experience in enterprise HR technology. A significant part of that was at IBM, where she spent 19 years and three months in progressive roles. From October 2019 to June 2025, she was an enterprise solutions architect in Gurugram, delivering Workday HCM and customer engagement solutions. She earlier held the role of package solution consultant–Workday between October 2017 and Sep 2019.

Her technical depth in SAP was built across multiple global assignments. She was SAP technical delivery lead from May 2015 to October 2017 and SAP technical team lead from May 2011 to May 2015 based in the US. She also worked as a senior SAP NetWeaver consultant from April 2009 to April 2011 and as SAP NetWeaver consultant from April 2006 to March 2009 in Gurugram.

Interestingly, Pankhuri Garg started out as a Java software developer at Ozdocs International in Noida from June 2005 to April 2006. Her background across Workday, SAP, AI-led HR tech and digital transformation positions her to lead Novartis’ next phase of talent innovation.

We at HRKatha wish her all the best!
