Jaideep Dhok has been elevated to chief operating officer-technology, Persistent Systems, starting tomorrow, that is, 12 August 2025. He will step into the shoes of Dhanashree Bhat who is moving on from her role today, to explore opportunities outside of Persistent.

Having begun his professional journey with Infosys in 2004, Jaideep Dhok is backed by over two decades of experience. He joined Infosys as a software engineer and by the time he moved on from there after eight and a half years, he had become project manager.

He became associated with Persistent Systems, the AI-led, platform-driven digital engineering and enterprise modernisation firm for the first time in October of 2010, when he served as project manager for over two years. He was then elevated to programme manager for over two years. In December 2014 he was appointed delivery manager, Persistent. By 2016 he was promoted to delivery head for two years. His next promotion in april 2018 made him general manager, Persistent Systems.

July of 2020 saw him moving on from Persistent after over five years, to join Commonwealth Bank as executive manager.

However, he was back at Persistent in April 2021, as group delivery head, working out of Pune, Maharashtra. By April of 2022 he was elevated to SVP & GM, banking, financial services and insurance.

Sandeep Kalra, chief executive officer and executive director, Persistent, believes that Jaideep Dhok’s “strong technology background, coupled with execution focus and deep understanding of our business, will help us scale with agility as we look to pivot our Company on the AI-led, platform-driven strategy.”

With over 14 years at Persistent, Dhok has already led major transformation programmes, built new business lines, and expanded Persistent’s BFSI segment. He is currently leading the APAC region and is a key contributor to the company’s AI strategy.
