ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies (GBT) has appointed Preethi Panasa as head of HR operations.

Panasa brings more than 24 years of experience across human resources, shared services, workforce administration, talent operations, HR transformation and operational excellence. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening HR service delivery, operational governance, process optimisation and technology-enabled HR transformation.

Before joining ArcelorMittal GBT, Panasa served as head of HR operations at GMR Group from June 2025 to October 2026. She led enterprise-wide HR shared services covering talent acquisition, payroll, workforce administration, compliance, learning and HR systems. Her responsibilities also included workforce planning, strategic hiring, AI-enabled recruitment and HR digital transformation.

Prior to GMR Group, Panasa spent eight years at Parexel as senior manager – global shared services, APAC, from February 2017 to February 2025. She led HR operations and service delivery across 13 Asia-Pacific countries, supporting a workforce of more than 10,000 employees. Her work included employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, HR systems, vendor governance and stakeholder engagement.

Earlier, Panasa spent 12 years at Deloitte as a senior analyst, from January 2005 to January 2017. During this period, she worked across HR reporting, onboarding coordination, staffing analytics, offer management and workforce data administration.

She began her career at GE Capital as a senior executive in June 2002, managing revenue cycle management processes for healthcare and insurance clients. She subsequently worked as a team lead at Satyam’s Nipuna Services, where she handled operational teams, process mapping, workflow optimisation and productivity improvement.

Panasa holds a Master’s in Hospital Management from the Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management from Pondicherry University.

ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies is the technology and business transformation arm of ArcelorMittal, a global integrated steel and mining company.
