Quest Global, the global engineering services firm, has appointed Peter Koo as chief leadership officer. Koo will be tasked with overseeing the leadership- development system, which will fuel succession planning and people development.
Among other strategic priorities, Koo will be responsible for creating a leadership-development engine, attracting talented leaders, advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and strengthening workforce analytics.
Koo moves from Egon Zehnder, where he spent over 19 years, with his last-held position being that of partner, financial services practice group, global head of asset management practice.
Having completed a doctor of business administration in organisational management, from Rutgers Business School, Koo also holds an MBA in finance and information systems, from NYU Stern School of Business.
He began his career with a three-year stint as senior consultant, at Andersen Consulting, in 1990. In 1995, he joined Gemini Consulting & Services as senior consultant, based out of Singapore. Less than two years later, he moved to Booz & Company, as an associate. For over a year, he worked with clients across Thailand and Indonesia, specialising in working with cross-functional teams that sought to design and implement technology-enabled business solutions.
His next stop was Kearney, in June 1998, as principal-FIG. For over four years, he worked out of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, primarily focussing on partnering with financial institutions across Greater China.
August of 2002 saw him joining IBM, as associate partner, based out of Shanghai, China. A year later, he was back in Kearney, as principal-FIG.
His association with Egon Zehnder, the global leadership-advisory firm began in 2004, as partner co-head, financial services practice group-Asia Pacific. This role saw him working out of Hong Kong and Shanghai for almost 14 years. In 2018, he was elevated to partner, financial service practice group. This promotion saw him relocating to New York. Four months into this role, he was elevated to partner, financial services practice group, global head of asset management practice,
