After almost a decade’s successful tenure at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Ramendrajit Sen, VP-HR, global head of HR for computer business, has called it wraps.

As he honestly admits on LinkedIn, “Saying goodbye to Hewlett Packard Enterprise after 9+ years is not easy”.

An economics graduate from Calcutta University and an alumnus of the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, Sen’s tryst with HR began with Aon Hewitt, where he joined as head of HR- outsourcing, India/ Asia Pacific. Till then, he was national sales manager – e-learning, at Sify.

At Aon Hewitt, Sen was responsible for improving business results through strategic HR and people solutions and driving the talent for its over 15,000-strong workforce. His nine-year tenure at Hewitt saw him essaying varied roles across India and the US.

In 2013, he joined HPE as VP and head- HR for India. Less than seven years later, he was elevated to vice president – global head of learning and professional development. This role saw him working out of San Jose, California, designing a compelling and comprehensive learning strategy to support and drive a high-performance culture to enable critical business transformation.

Two years later, he was again promoted. This time, he became vice president HR – global head of HR for computer business. For over two years, he successfully created a highly-engaged workforce that consistently achieved profitable growth. He also drove strategic human resource initiatives including change management, talent management, organisational effectiveness and inclusion and diversity.

In the initial stages of his career, Sen served as national manger – franchise development, at Tata Infotech for six years. He was also centre manager for Datapro InfoWorld for over two and a half years.

Fondly addressed as Ramen by his co-workers, Sen is known for his expertise in making business and people work. His business acumen, resilience and stamina will certainly stand him in good stead in all his future endeavours.

His social-media post does say that he is beginning a new chapter on 15 August. HRKatha is eager to know what it will be and wishes him luck.
