Sabu Raghavan, who joined Hilton in 2011, has been elevated to the position of vice president, human resources, India. Of late, he had been based in Singapore, from where he was overseeing human resources for Southeast Asia and India. He will now report to Lara Hernandez, senior vice president, human resources, Asia Pacific, and work closely with the India leadership team and lead the HR strategy for the country.

In his new role, we will now see him focus exclusively on India, working closely with Hilton’s leadership team to drive culture and talent development among the team members of Hilton. Welcoming Raghavan’s elevation, Navjit Ahluwalia, country head & senior vice president, Hilton India, said, “We are thrilled to have Raghavan take on the human resources reigns in India to further our commitment to strengthening our purpose-led talent strategy and cultivating a diverse work environment for our team members as we continue to grow.”

He further added, “Having been with Hilton since 2011, Raghavan is no stranger to the award-winning culture of Hilton, and I am confident that he will build on our Great Place to Work legacy and take it to new heights.”

In the last year and a half, Hilton in India has been performing well across most financial and business metrics, and has been recognised for its award-winning workplace culture. With India’s travel and tourism sector continuing to show growth potential, Hilton has taken on 10 more senior leaders from across industries in the last two years, to lead different functions and roles in the country. Clearly, the Company has been investing in expanding its business and recruiting the best talent in the industry.
