After successfully serving Cipla for over seven years, Sachin Kaistha has moved to DCM Shriram as CHRO of the Sugar Business. This assignment will see him based out of Gurugram, Haryana.

An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, from where he completed an MBA in human resources, Kaistha also happens to be a law graduate from Maharishi Dayanand University.

Kaistha’s professional journey began with a short stint as executive-HR and admin, at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, he worked with SC Johnson as head-HR, for the firm’s manufacturing facility.

His next stop was Future Group People Office, where he worked as cluster manager-HR (Punjab, Haryana, HP) for over three and a half years.

December of 2011 saw him begin an almost three-year long association with Tata Motors, where he joined as head-talent acquisition and PMS. After two promotions, he climbed to the position of head-sales HR (South) for passenger vehicle business. This promotion saw him shifting base to Bangalore, from Chandigarh.

From November 2014 to April 2017, he headed HR for manufacturing/SCM and R&D, at Eicher Polaris, a 50:50 strategic joint venture between Eicher Motor and US-based Polaris. For about two and a half years, he helped build strong teams within verticals to understand and cater to the business requirements. Working out of Jaipur, he was even involved in manpower planning and hiring of talent for growing business needs and plant expansion.

The year 2017 saw him relocating to Indore, when he joined Cipla as director and site HR head. Less than four and a half years into this role, he was elevated to director-HR & head-central operations and strategic projects. Based out of Mumbai, he helped design the mobility and rotation policy across operations and also drove the diversity and inclusion agenda in the manufacturing and quality side of the business.

Known to be a thorough HR professional with an eye for detail, HRKatha believes Sachin Kaistha’s meticulousness will be an asset to DCM Shriram-Sugar Business.
