Boeing has appointed Stacie Sire as vice president and managing director, Boeing India Engineering & Technology Centre (BIETC) and chief engineer, Boeing India. She will be stepping into the shoes of Ahmed Elsherbini, who will now serve as senior vice president and general manager and head of Boeing Global Engineering

Stacie Sire, a civil engineering graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology, has completed an MBA from University of Washington.

Sire’s association with Boeing is over 28 years old.

She joined as structural design engineer in February 1997. In less than two years she was elevated to engineer-structural stress analyst. Six years later came another promotion that made her lead engineer-787 wing/empennage/gear full scale structure test.

In October of 2005 she was promoted to engineering manager, and a year and a half later, she became engineering senior manager-787 systems stress.

August of 2011 saw Stacie Sire playing engineering senior manager-director and chief engineer for 767/777 airframe.

Two more promotions came by in 2014 and 2016. By September of 2018, Stacie Sire had become BCA director of structures, working out of Washington.

Now based in Bengaluru, Sire has taken over strategy and operations for BIETC. She will be responsible for advancing BIETC’s goals and priorities in India and enhancing team capabilities to continue to support business growth. Additionally, she serves as chief engineer for Boeing India.

“Sire’s expertise in leading teams and driving innovation for complex engineering programmes, combined with her deep technical knowledge and collaborative mindset, will be key as we work towards building a fully integrated global engineering organization for The Boeing Company,” said Elsherbini.

Boeing is focused on delivering value to Indian customers with advanced technologies and is committed to creating sustainable value in the Indian aerospace sector – developing local suppliers and shaping academic and research collaborations with Indian institutions.

Sire herself is “committed to working alongside our team here to continue advancing that journey. With a focus on safety, quality, engineering excellence, and collaboration, we have exciting opportunities ahead, and I look forward to contributing to BIETC’s continued success.”
