After a successful tenure of over six years with Sula Vineyards, Kaizad Dastur has taken up the role of chief financial officer (CFO), Star Agriwarehousing & Collateral Management.
This chartered accountant, who is an alumnus of HR College of Commerce and Economics, has cleared Level 1 (Viticulture and Enology) from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
Dastur worked with Kalyaniwalla & Mistry as associate-audit and assurance for four years in the initial phase of his career, from 2011 to 2015.
He then joined EY as consultant-risk advisory for a while before taking up the role of executive-audit and assurance, Mazars, for two and a half years.
His association with Sula Vineyards began in January of 2019, when he joined as senior manager-finance and accounts-internal controls. Less than two years into this role, he was promoted to deputy general manager-finance and accounts-internal controls. Another promotion saw him heading risk and assurance from 2022 to 2023. In April of 2023, he was promoted to general manager-risk and assurance. By August 2023, he had become general manager, head: risk and assurance and treasury operations. He was elevated to associate vice president_head: risk and assurance, treasury operations, taxation, IT systems, SSC operations, in January of 2023. He reached the position of vice president-finance and accounts and CFO Artisan Spirits, in April this year.
Kaizad Dastur is now looking forward to the new assignment. In his social-media post, Dastur says, “The organisation’s deep expertise in agri-value chains and its strong legacy of delivering value to farmers and enterprises make this an inspiring journey to be part of”.
