Awfis Space Solutions, the flexible workspace solutions company has promoted Sumit Lakhani to chief executive officer (CEO). Lakhani has been with the firm for a decade now, having joined in 2015, as chief marketing officer. About seven years into this role, he had been elevated to deputy CEO in 2022.
Lakhani, who holds a BTech in Computer Science has also completed an MBA from SP Jain Centre of Management. He began his professional journey as a software engineer with Satyam Computer Services, in 2004. He then served as software analyst at Tesco for over a year. He was an associate with ST Asset Management, Singapore from 2007 to 2008.
In May of 2008 he switched to Yes Bank, where he played vice president-investment banking for over seven years.
It was in 2015 that he joined Awfis, as chief marketing officer.
In his new role as CEO, Lakhani will focus on P&L, daily operations and customer-centric initiatives along with sales, marketing and supply acquisition.
