    Tenneco ropes in Arvind Chandra for CEO role

    Chandra was earlier CEO India, Aliaxis after moving from Spark Minda where he was in a similar position

    Tenneco has a new India CEO in Arvind Chandra. Backed by three decades of experience, Chandra was earlier associated with Aliaxis as CEO for India and board member.

    Arvind Chandra began his career with Delphi as manufacturing engineer/quality engineer, O2 sensors, exhaust products, working out of the US. Two years into this role, he was elevated to global product marketing manager, air controls, Michigan, US. Two years later, another promotion made him platform sales and programmes manager, batteries, braking, generators. Then came a role as business planning manager, Europe. In May of 2005, he relocated to Bangalore to play director, embedded electronics. His next elevation put him in the position of business unit operations manager-SCR product line, Paris, France.

    From August 2007 to November 2010, he served Delphi as global business planner, Delphi powertrain/exhaust, France and commercial sales, Paris, France.

    Chandra’s next stop was Faurecia, the automotive tech company, where he served as global director of marketing, Paris, France, for over two years.

    December of 2012 saw him join ZF Group, as vice president, strategic planning and marketing, Brussels, Belgium. Three years later, he moved to Germany, to join Achandra Consulting & Investments, as managing director/CEO.

    He switched to Spark Minda as chief executive officer, vehicle access & security systems, in January 2020. After a tenure of almost four years there, Chandra moved to Aliaxis, as CEO for India (Ashirvad), a global water access and distribution company, to develop a strong leadership team in India.

    Arvind Chandra has completed an MBA from University of Michigan and has worked across four continents in his long and successful career.
