Unilever elevates BP Biddappa to CHRO, global home care

Unilever has elevated BP Biddappa to the position of CHRO of the global home care business. Prior to this elevation, Biddappa was the global VP-HR for home care, health and wellbeing and organisation and people analytics for three years.

Biddappa has been with the Unilever brand for the last almost three decades. After completing an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 1989, Biddappa joined Deloitte as a consultant for a two-year stint.

His journey with Unilever started in 1992, from Orai in Uttar Pradesh, as a personnel manager. Within the same Group, he moved to multiple cities, both domestic and international, such as Mumbai, Dhaka and Singapore.

During his 27-year long stint at Unilever, Biddappa has held various HR leadership roles. Before going into a global role in 2019, he led the HR function for India the Company, as the executive director-HR, HUL and VP-HR, Unilever South Asia.

In 2019, Anuradha Razdan took over from Biddappa as executive director- HR at HUL and moved into a global role.

It was in 2004 that Biddappa became HR director for Unilever Bangladesh in Dhaka. After spending four years there, he moved to Singapore as VP-HR for supply chain and finance, Unilever, Asia, Africa and Russia.

Biddappa, who holds a postgraduate diploma in HR from XLRI, completed his graduation in economics from Delhi University.
