After a successful stint of over seven years with Bira 91, Swayampriya Shah has joined Wagh Bakri Tea Group as chief human resources officer (CHRO).
An alumna of Fore School of Management, Delhi from where she completed an MBA in Human Resources, Swayampriya Shah served as HR director at Text 100 for almost six years, from 2001 to 2006.

She moved to Beam Global Spirits & Wine in 2007, as DGM-HR. Well over four and a half years later, she switched to CMGRP India, as director-human resources & talent, India.

Cohne & Wolfe Six Degree PR roped her in for the role of director-human resources, in September of 2015.

Swayampriya Shah’s association with Bira 91 began in September of 2016 when she accepted the role of director-HR. Less than two and a half years into this role, she was elevated to vice president-HR and administration. Another promotion in January of 2022 made her senior vice president-HR and administration.

Now, in her latest assignment at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, her demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry will stand her in good stead.

As per her social-media post, she is looking forward to “collaborating with our teams to shape a progressive people agenda, strengthen organisational capability, and cultivate a culture that promotes both performance and purpose”.

HRKatha wishes Swayampriya Shah all the best in this endeavour!
