    Kavita Kunder appointed MD at State Street

    State Street has appointed Kavita Kunder as its new managing director (MD). In her new capacity, Kunder will lead the company’s middle office operations in Hyderabad and focus on enhancing operational efficiency.

    With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, her passion lies in risk management, client onboarding, and trading. At State Street, she will focus on enhancing operational efficiency in her new role.

    Before joining State Street, Kunder spent over 18 years at Goldman Sachs, where she held multiple leadership roles. She joined the company in the year 2005 as its analyst. In 2007, she was appointed to the position of associate and held the role for five years. In the year 2012, she was elevated to the role of vice president. In this role, Kunder led the control and quality- management team overseeing equities broker operations, client commission management, and securities client sub-ledger controls teams. She also played a key role in establishing the Hyderabad operations for the company.

    In the year 2016, she was appointed to the role of senior VP-operations. In this role, she was pivotal in setting-up the company’s operations in Hyderabad. Kunder also headed the company’s global banking and markets operations in Hyderabad.

    Earlier in her career, she worked in customer service role at Firstsource before making the transition to the finance sector.

    Kunder holds a BSc degree from University of Mumbai.
