    Srirang TK elevated to MD & CEO, ICICI Securities

    Srirang will step into the shoes of Vijay Chandok, whose resignation comes into effect on 27 November

    Srirang TK, the present joint MD of ICICI Direct has been elevated to the position of managing director and CEO, ICICI Securities. He will be taking over responsibilities from Vijay Chandok, who has resigned.

    Srirang’s association with ICICI goes way back to 2001. That means, he has spent well over two decades with the financial institution. During his tenure, ICICI Bank won many accolades, including the Best HR Technology Implementation award in 2020, at the Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Awards. ICICI Bank was also adjudged the ‘best company to work for’ (Business Today) in the BFSI space, for four years consecutively.

    In May 2022, after a long and successful tenure of over 22 years, Srirang TK, who had till then served as group chief human resource officer (GCHRO), ICICI Bank, had been appointed joint managing director, ICICI Direct.

    An engineering graduate from RV College of Engineering, Srirang TK completed an MBA in human resource management, from University of Calcutta, in 1996.

    After completing his MBA, he joined ICI India as human resources manager for four years. He was associated (part-time), with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), for a little over two years as chairman and as part of the HR sub-committee, western region, from 2014 to 2016. He was board member, IITB-Monash Research Academy, Pune for five years, from 2016 to 2021.

    Srirang was also board member of International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore for four years.

    For a short while, he held the position of national secretary of National HRD Network in 2021.
